OSGclr001 - Green Stained Osage Clarinet or Flute Stand
A very unique clarinet or flute stand here; Green stained Osage Orange, definitely the most rare of woods we have ever found. To explain, Osage Orange is relatively common, found primarily in southern Oklahoma. But this comes from Osage tree stumps that were left in the ground, in a field that was flooded in the 1940's to create a pond. Osage is very hard and dense, and it does not rot. When the pond was drained recently, the bright yellow wood of the Osage stumps had been naturally and deeply "stained" by the minerals in the water.
