Artisan Customs - Pricing / Ordering Examples
When you see the unique nature of each and every Artisan Customs product, we hope it’s easy to understand why there is no “standard” pricing on any particular type of product. Every Artisan Customs product is a one-of-a-kind piece of art, and its value is determined by all of the factors involved in its creation.
Some wood species are more expensive due to limited availability and/or where they come from. Some are more difficult to work and/or finish. The specific design determines the tools needed for assembly and shaping of the piece, and the desired finish makes a difference also (satin, gloss, oil rubbed, etc.). And the choice of mounting hardware is a factor as well.
Following are a few examples of descriptions and pricing on several of our products. For specific information on any particular piece you see on the website, or a custom product you would like more information about, please contact us, and we can help you directly.

California Redwood Burl Drum Stick Holders
California Redwood is our favorite of all woods to work with. They are the most amazing trees we have ever seen! (Please check out the info on California Redwoods in the Raw Materials section of the site.) We have three pieces as examples here.
The first is a beautiful, and rather large, 6-pair stick holder, plus a tuning key spot. It mounts on top of a mic stand.
Lots of open area where the sticks are visible. Amazing burl grain with a satin polyurethane finish (which took many coats and much sanding to level and smooth, as the wood kept soaking it in). This piece would retail at $499.00. |
